CREATExperience Job Exposure & Job Shadowing
Interested in Hands-On Experience with a Commercial Real Estate Company?
Excellent opportunities exist for students who are tenacious, customer-focused, and can thrive in a high-rise building industry that supports YOU. The CRE Fellows Program at San Francisco State University and Merritt College is providing students with opportunities to put their classroom learning into practice.
What are the benefits?
Students can gain a deeper understanding about commercial real estate (CRE) and help CRE companies increase their productivity. We connect students with companies and industry leaders who provide exposure to commercial real estate management, leasing, finance, construction, engineering, and customer service. As commercial real estate leaders retire and the industry continues to grow and develop globally, there is great demand for YOUR talent in the field of commercial real estate.
How Can I Get Selected?
Begin by expressing your interest via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Let us know your level of education and experience. Prospective students are screened and matched with commercial real estate hosts. This process typically begins in May. Job experiences typically run from June through August, with varying durations and geographic locations.
What’s In It For You?
Once deployed, interns can expect to work in a dynamic high-rise building environment. The job might consist of assisting or leading a construction project, data analysis (e.g. water or energy use by tenant in the building), contract review, accounting, sales/marketing, and much more!
The CRE Fellows Program is funded by CREATE, a workforce development initiative supported by an industry alliance of NAIOP Bay Area Chapter, BOMA San Francisco, BOMA Oakland/East Bay and IREM San Francisco.
