Commercial Real Estate Fellows Program
CREATE’s signature program is the 16-module, 32-hour Fellows curriculum facilitated by industry subject matter experts. Student Fellows learn the fundamentals of the industry and about the career opportunities in commercial real estate. The experience is enhanced by mentoring, job shadowing, building tours, internships and networking as well as the free career portal that connects students with employers offering internships and entry-level jobs. The program is offered in person at SF State (for SF State students and alumni only) and online for students from a variety of local 2 and 4-year educational institutions. Student participants have been enrolled at but are not limited to: Boise State University, Chabot College, CSU East Bay, Diablo Valley College, Dominican University of California, Menlo College, Merritt College, Ohlone College, Peralta Community College, St. Mary’s College, UCLA, University of San Francisco, and University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Curriculum
This program includes sixteen class meetings, covering topics such as:
- Property Management: Overview/Operational Basics, Major Building Components)
- Leasing & Marketing: Broker View of Leasing Process, Roles of the Owner/Asset Manager/Property Manager, Understanding the Lease
- Asset Management Acquisition & Disposition Strategies, Overseeing the Portfolio, Understanding & Communicating Owner Objectives
- Construction & Project Management
- Facility Management for corporate campuses
- Real Estate Development

Cost
There is no tuition or cost for students or schools to participate!
Eligibility Requirements
- The CREATE Fellows Online program is available to students enrolled in 2 and 4-year educational institutions and is open to juniors, seniors, and/or graduate students interested in the commercial real estate industry.
- You must be genuinely interested in, or have a high desire to pursue, a career in commercial real estate preferably within the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation.
- You must have a GPA of at least 2.5
- You must commit to attending the full CREATE Fellows Program sessions
